Aluminum-magnesium alloy dust is classified as flammable and explosive dust, characterized by narrow explosion limits and severe explosion pressure hazards, representing a significant potential risk factor in the aluminum, magnesium alloy, and titanium alloy processing industries. The explosion of aluminum, magnesium, and titanium dust is an instantaneous chain reaction belonging to a gas-solid two-phase flow reaction; its explosion process is complex and governed by numerous factors. (1) Thermal energy is applied to the particle surface, causing the temperature to rise gradually; (2) Thermal decomposition or dry distillation of molecules on the particle surface occurs, generating gases around the particle; (3) These gases mix with air to form an explosive gas mixture, simultaneously producing a flame and combustion; (4) The heat generated by combustion further promotes dust decomposition, continuously releasing combustible gases that mix with air to propagate the flame.
