It is an important factor leading to potential hazards in the aluminum, magnesium alloy, and titanium alloy processing industries. The explosion of aluminum, magnesium, and titanium dust is an instantaneous chain reaction, belonging to a gas-solid two-phase flow reaction. Its explosion process is relatively complex and will be constrained by many factors. (1) Heat energy is applied to the surface of particles, and the temperature gradually increases; (2) The molecular thermal decomposition or dry distillation on the surface of particles produces gas around the particles; (3) These gases mix with air to generate explosive mixtures and ignite flames simultaneously; (4) Due to the heat generated by combustion, it further promotes the decomposition of dust, continuously releasing combustible gases and mixing with air to spread flames.
